More Halloween

Halloween Carnival

The kids school had their annual Halloween carnival on Friday night. So we got all dressed up to go. This gives me a little bit of a chance to get a few pictures. On Halloween the kids are in such a hurry to go trick-or-treating that I can't get any pictures. Devan is a Madison Bobcat Fan. Davis is Dracula, and because I was too lazy to sew any costumes this year, Brooklyn gets to be Raggedy Ann again. But she is such a cute little doll, it doesn't really matter! Happy Halloween.

PJ time

Brooklyn has become quite the copy cat. She copies everyone. She has insisted on wearing the boys clothes lately. Today it is their pajamas. she even has to layer them. She wants to wear all of the pajamas in Davis' drawer. So tonight the boys decide to copy her. Goofballs!

Bath time!

Today

Here are a couple of videos. They are of what Brooklyn and I do in a typical day. One she is eating breakfast and then a little later she is taking a bath. Isn't she so cute.

Breakfast

Breakfast of champions. Sunday we had no hot water as a result of our own stupidity. Grandpa turned off the hot water to work on our downstairs plumbing on Saturday. As a result the pilot light on the hot water heater went out. Willy and I did not realize this until Sunday morning when we had no hot water. So we went down and figured out how to re-light the pilot light, but then we forgot to turn up the thermostat, so we did not have hot water until about noon. You don't realize how nice it is to have hot water at your immediate disposal until you don't have it. So we did not go to church. Instead we had a big wonderful breakfast. As you can see, Brooklyn no longer sees fit to sit in her high chair. She insists on being part of the big people! Too funny.

Pretty! Pretty Cute!

Brooklyn had on a new outfit. We were heading out the door to take Dad the lunch he forgot, when she saw her backpack and wanted it on. It was so cute I had to take a picture.

Copy Cat

Brooklyn idolized Davis. She copies everything he does. Davis has had a really bad cough for a couple of weeks. He has been taking about 4 breathing treatments a day. So Brooklyn also wants to do breathing treatments. She pulled out a pair of Davis' p.j.'s and got up on the bed by Davis to copy him. She is funny.

Play Play Play!

Brooklyn loves to play. She thinks all day, 24 hours, should be dedicated to the sport. She wants all of us to drop what we are doing and play with her all of the time. She drags her toys all over the house. The boys and I clean them up about 5 times a day, just to have her drag them back out again. She has found a great love for cars and trains. She plays with them a lot. Her cousin Reggie came over and they played all sorts of fun things. She found two little boys at the football game to play with, and they played cars the whole time. What fun.

School days

School started up again yesterday. Back to getting up early. Yuck! Davis has been home from school with his usual deep cough. Hopefully he will be better by Monday, so i can send him back to school. Devan came home from school today in a great mood. I asked him how school went and he said he had a blast! A blast? at school? i said. Yep, school was a blast! Well good for him. I am glad he is enjoying school! Brooklyn and I enjoyed the sunshine outside. She went around the neighborhood and found all of the toy cars, trikes and scooters that had been left out on the lawn. Then she rode them around until I had to drag her home for a nap.

Jeep'n it!

Brooklyn and the boys are loving the jeep! Cruising around the neighborhood.

Snow Day

Wow! What a crazy day. The snow just kept coming and coming! About 4 inches. The kids had a blast making a snow fort. Brooklyn got to experience her first snow fall, that she could actually play in. Last year she was not really old enough. She immediately removed her mittens and started eating the snow.

Denver Broncos game

We finally did it. We went to the Denver Broncos football game. Willy and I went with Shalaina, Trent, Preston and Bill. We drove down in our Expedition. What a drive. 10 hrs. is an awful long time in a car. We got to see the Broncos/Jacksonville game. The Broncos did not play there best, but we all had a great time. It was a fun atmosphere. We were on the eighth row, which rocked and we could see everything. I wish the boys could have been there to see it with us!

Football-1

Devan and Davis have been rockin' at football. They just completed very successful flag football seasons. Davis' team was 8-0 an undefeated season. Devan's team was 7-1, near perfect. They both played like pros and had several touchdowns! Devan has also been playing tackle football and while it may not be as fun as flag he is doing awesome and loves to hit hard!

Company

We have had a lot of company. Amber and Aaron came to visit, as did Nana and then Papa. Brooklyn had a blast with all of them, as they pay special attention to her. We have enjoyed them all. We are nearly finished with our basement and will have a nice guestroom for them to stay in next time they come to visit.

Brooklyn is two

Brooklyn had her second birthday! What a great accomplishment. We were all puzzled as to what to get for her, but she new. She was set on a Barbie jeep! She loves it and rides it whenever possible. Davis loved it at first, but now he is sick of driving her around. There are plenty of other kids willing to take Brooklyn for a spin.
