Although, this Christmas season has been really busy, full of tons of basketball, we did find time to go to the mall and see Santa! I took the kids out of school for the afternoon and we drove to IF to see the big guy. Brooklyn and Chloe had drawn him a picture and were anxious to see him. Once we got there it was a different story. Chloe (Brooklyn friend) was fine. She climbed up beside him and shyly talked to him. Brooklyn on the other hand, saw one glimpse of Santa town and ran in the opposite direction to hide. I was really surprised at how nervous she was. She would not come near him for anything. So I took Chloe and Sam to sit on his lap. Sam was not real sure of him either but at least he let me take a picture. This is the kids behind Santa's village. It took a lot to get Brooklyn this close. Afterward, we went to lunch and I had the kids pick out an ornament at the Hallmark store. We had a really nice day.

Brooklyn's performance

A couple of weeks ago Brooklyn got to go to Mini Dance Camp. My sister-in-law is the drill team coach and they put on a three day camp for little girls. I was very pleasantly surprised that Brooklyn loved it!! She had so much fun and looked forward to it everyday. Then on the fourth day they got to perform at the half time of the boys basketball game. This is Brooklyn getting ready for the performance. She had just woke up from a nap and was not happy that she had to wear a t-shirt (the dance camp shirt they gave all of the girls to wear). She was set on wearing a leotard.
She got over it and then was very excited to go to the game. This is her striking her rockin robbin pose. She was really funny. The performance was awesome and I loved watching her. She did not even do half of the dance, but it was so fun to watch anyway!

Halloween

This Halloween brought a lot of excitement to Brooklyn. She is at that magical age when everything seems so fun and exciting. She gets excited over the smallest of things. She was so excited to go and pick out a costume. She had wanted to be Aerial, which would have been perfect with her beautiful red hair. When we got to the store they were all out of Aerial costumes. Her next pick was Snow White. On Friday before Halloween she had a party at school. Even though she had been wearing her Snow White costume for a month she was still very excited to put the whole thing together. This is her as Snow White. She did not want to have her picture taken. Right before I took Brooklyn to school my Mom came to visit and go with us. Brooklyn had a great time at her party. The next day was Halloween. My Mom had brought Brooklyn a couple of costumes and dress ups. One of the costumes was this cheer leading outfit. Brooklyn loved it. This is no doing of my own, I will have you know. The only reason she liked the costume was because her little friend Chloe has one. I don't mind that she loves girly things though. hee hee. So Halloween day we went to watch Devan play basketball and Brooklyn was a cheerleader.
As we got ready to go trick or treating she changed her mind yet again. Although I begged her to just stay in her cheer leading outfit she changed into her fairy princess outfit. Oh, to be four again! How fun. We had a wonderful Halloween. The weather was actually perfect, just two days before we had two inches of snow on the ground and on Halloween day it was warm and sunny. We had a ward trunk or treat and a yummy dinner with family. It was very nice.

My Boys really did not get too into Halloween this year. This really surprised me. I can't believe they are growing out of it so soon. Devan only dressed up because they were supposed to for a school trip. He decided to dawn his cheerleader costume again. Of course he looked great. And Davis, who usually likes to do what Devan is doing, was not about to be a cheerleader. So he was Count Dracula once again. He painted his hair black, but refused to wear any makeup. Sammy was not so into costumes when I tried them on him. He hated them. So I decided he would be a perfect Baseball player. He was warm and comfortable in his baseball pajamas and the hat made the costume. I know, I know I should have dressed up a little more. It's just that I am such a mean witch all of the time I thought I would go as myself.

A look at the Everyday

I have a ton of fun pictures that I wanted to post. Just pictures from our everyday lives.
This one is of Davis and two of his buddies. They decided to watch Devan's football game from high above in the watch tower. I believe this tower is used for filming football games but they had fun climbing it and hanging out up high.My little Sammy with his "growl"

Happy as a clam running around free!
This is just some fun I had with photo shop
Somehow???... my kids love to have whatever drink I have. On this day I sat on the porch enjoying a diet Pepsi when Sam came along and stole it from me.
He really liked it.

Brooklyn has started preschool again. She likes it (notice I did not say loves it) She loves riding her bike and watching movies much much more.

This is the first day of school.

Brooklyn and Chloe playing... They were watching Barbie and the three musketeers, so they had to dress the part. Then they kept saying, "Don't mess with the dress!" It was pretty cute!
Brooklyn and Sam were playing in her room and hiding under the bed.

I walked in to find them sitting by each other playing away! It was cute to see. Normally Brooklyn is too mean to let Sammy play with her.

Sam found one of Brooklyn's back packs and wanted it on. He is such a fun little boy!

Brooklyn's Surprise

These pics are formy Mom and my Sis..... Surprise!

Davis' Football Season

Davis' flag football season has been great! It has been really busy to have football games three nights a week plus high school football but we have become a football family and we love it! Davis has been playing great and Sam and Brooklyn have enjoyed running around and playing hard during the games.

Davis plays Q.B and receiver. He really prefers to play receiver but plays at the Q.B position to make hid Dad happy.
Here he is at his last game catching the pass from Spencer and running it in for a touch down!

He is great at defense too! He is a flag grabbin' maniac!

Devan's Football Season

Football season is in full swing. It has been really busy and really fun. Devan's team has been doing great! So far they are undefeated at 4-0. We have a tough game this morning so we will see what happens.
This one is Devan #7 getting ready to throw a pass to one of his receivers!
Calling out the play
Throwing the ball to his bud, Ryan

Devan is lucky enough to have some of the best kids in the community as his friends and classmates. Truly these kids are so awesome and I love them. As many of you know we have a dear little friend that was just diagnosed with Leukemia. He has been dubbed, Iron Man Jace. So these boys wrote: Iron Man Jace #33 on there arms before the game and played for their little hero Jace. I am so blessed that my kids have such a great group of kids to hang out with!

Jet skiing at Blacktail Reservoir

This weekend we went jet skiing with the Tyler's. We had so much fun! My kids loved it and wanted to know when we could go again. Now they want me to buy a jet ski. Sam hated wearing a life jacket but loved sitting on the jet ski at the beach. He played for hours in the water and sand
This big jet ski pulled a three man tube. Trent and I took turns taking the kids on tube rides. Trent and I even took a ride, neither one of us has ridden a tube like that for years. I screamed my head off and laughed so hard. It was a blast!

Davis loved riding too. I let him drive a little. Then he sat with Sam on the beach and let Sam drive.

My little nephew Rysen, found a water snake right when we got there. He played with that little snake the whole time we were there. He named him Striker!

Brooklyn and Ro played and played in the water and sand. They also took a jet ski ride with Uncle Trent. They loved it! They even jumped off the jet ski out in the middle of the lake and swam around like little fish. It was a really great day!

First Day of School

I am always blogging in reverse. Someday I will figure this out. This is a picture of Devan and his giant friend Max on the first day of school, waiting for the bus. I must say I was very happy to see this day come and still am. Even though we have to get up early every day, I enjoy a quieter house with only the littles around and no extra kids. Davis and his buds waiting for the bus.

The boys

Davis. Lets see how much they change in 9 months on the last day of school.
