Brooklyn's new room

We promised Nana a video so she could see Brooklyn's new room. We still need to decorate the wall above her bed and hang the rest of the curtains, but Brooklyn is glad to show off her new bed and room. She has been swimming all day and at the time I took the video she is having a spoonful of cookie dough. We had just made cookies. So... here you go.

Brooklyn's Big Girl Bed

Yesterday we moved Brooklyn to a big bed. It's that time. We needed to move her crib into the babies room and get her into a big girl bed. We took one of the beds from the boys room (they have three) and put it upstairs in her room. Nana got her an early birthday present and bought her a quilt set. She was so excited! She loved her new quilt and pillows and everything about her new bed. She played in her room for the rest of the day. Last night Willy read her a couple of books and she was out. She slept all night without moving a muscle! I kept checking on her to make sure she was alive. She slept 11 hours straight and did not get up until 9:00 this morning when Willy and I started making noise. I took a few pictures of her because I was a little sad about her being in a big girl bed. It sure makes her grow up even more. She looked so sweet and tiny in her bed.

Devan's Birthday

Devan turned 10 this year and wanted to have a "Rock Band" party. He had all of his buds dress like funky rock stars and they played rock band and football. They had a lot of fun!

Over the 4th of July, Nana came to visit. The night before we had a big "Berry" party and watched the fire works over Rigby Lake. Then on the 4th we went to the Rexburg parade and had a BBQ. The rest of the day we spent playing and swimming. It was not too hot and it was really enjoyable. When Nana is in town, Brooklyn get all the Diet Coke she wants.
Waiting for the parade to start. It was a great parade with lots of candy.
A lady came up to me offering a coupon for a maternity massage. My brother-in-law yelled after her, "she's not pregnant!" and everyone laughed. I am obviously looking quite pregnant!
My Nephew, Jordan, works for our local grocery store. Their assignment was to decorate a grocery cart for the parade. His was a tank! It was the best one in the parade and he threw us tons and tons of candy. He even nailed a few of us in the head.

More Swimming

One really hot day, Brooklyn talked both of her brothers into swimming with her.

All-star Baseball

During the games, Brooklyn was entertained by markers, paper and lots of stickers.
For one game I left Brooklyn at her favorite friends house. She was jumping off of the bar stools and rolled her ankle. She would not walk on her foot for three days. We thought she had a broken foot and took her in for x-rays. Everything was fine. She just had a bad sprain. She limped for a couple of weeks. In this picture, the Dr. had wrapped her foot with an ace bandage and I put this sock on her foot so she would not get the bandage dirty. She was quite upset that she could not keep up with the other kids.
she also got the all-star treatment being wheeled around in her stroller!

We had a great time in All-star baseball this year! I was sure that I was burnt out and did not want Devan to play. Of course no one was willing to coach except old reliable. So with Willy coaching and Devan being top three in the league, they talked me into it. I am really glad. It gave Devan and Willy something to keep themselves busy all summer and we had a great time at all of the tournaments. We took 4th place at the Madison tournament. 2nd place in the Idaho Falls tournament and had a chance at the championship in Bear Lake. We went 4 & 1 at Bear Lake and just had a great time.

Bring on the baby

Only 35 days to go and counting. I have had enough of this baby and I am ready for him to enter the world. OK, not quite ready, still have a lot to do but I am sick of being pregnant. I have a bunch of great pictures to post but we have all had the stomach flu for about a week and until I feel better I am sure that I will not post again. Just wanted to say Hi and let you all know we are alive and kicking.

Little Fish

Brooklyn is such a little fish. She could swim all day. I got her this pool and she has swam in it every chance she gets. She sneaks in to swim with her clothes on and with her pajamas on. She loves to go down the slide on her bumb, or her back or her stomach and she does not care one bit if the water is ice cold. I have bought her three swimming suits just because that is about all she will wear. She is having a great summer.
