How Cold can it go?

Today we get another holiday from school. We received a call at 5:30 this morning to let us know that it was too cold to go to school. All of the schools in the area all the way to Bear Lake and Twin Falls were closed today. Why??? Well with the windchill it was -33 at our house today. Just when I can't stand the long winter any longer we get whammed with ridiculous temperatures. The good side of it is that we get a four day weekend! It was so cold I could hear the ice cracking outside during the night. It sounded like explosions. I am ready to go to California or Mexico for a while!
