We had a slight problem in the kitchen. Our ice maker decided to water the floor. All of the water went under the laminate flooring instead of on top so it took us several days to figure it out. Here is the lovely result. We had 7 industrial fans blowing for a week and now we are waiting for the insurance adjuster to show up and tell us what we can do next. What a pain.

That subflooring turns to mulch when it gets wet. I'm so sorry you are dealing with that and feeling lousy. Did it ruin the laminate, or do you get to get all new stuff? Maybe it's a blessing in disguise! :)
